Mark looked through Cindy's wardrobe. He was a girl now he wanted to dress a little more like a girl. He wanted to wear a dress or a skirt with a top a boy would never wear. Mark discovered he knew some things he shouldn't know. He knew everything that he needed to know to be Cindy. He knew who all her friends were, he knew her class at the local middle school, he knew what her favorites were and he knew the clothes she owned.
When Mark went to look through what were now his clothes, Mark realized that they were too juvenile for him. All Cindy's clothes were resized to fit him, but their style was for a girl who was 13. Mark who had been a 16 year old boy, would prefer a more 'mature' apparel. He selected a high-rise ruffle-hem wrap skirt in a purple pattern and a top with a similar pattern.
Mark would also prefer a more mature body, such as that of Amelia Evanchalk. Amelia is a gorgeous girl who was a grade ahead of Mark. Mark knew her from her reputation. Everyone knew her at his high school. She always dressed 'great'. Mark didn't want her life, he didn't know much about her, but he would love to play around with her body. Somehow fooling around with Cindy's body didn't seem right to him.
Mark decided to get Amelia's body to do with what he pleased. (He would get her apparel too while he was at it.) Mark thought he would make it up to Cindy for stealing her life from her. When he returned to his own life, he would let Cindy keep Amelia's body.
Mark headed towards the door.
"Where are you going, Cindy?" Irene asked.
"I'm going to ride my bike a little, Mom" Mark told her, making up a lie on the spot.
"OK, don't ride on the road and be back before it gets dark."
"I promise."
Mark decided that taking Cindy's bike would be better than walking anyway. He got on Cindy's bike as he told her mother and road to Amelia's house. Riding a bike wearing a skirt was a new experience for him.
Once Mark arrived, he realized he had another problem. How would he get to see Amelia to swap with her?
