…she would change into any animal, starting from her feet. Even in that form, she was still aware of who she was and everything going on around her, but she was no longer able to speak.

Melody’s feet had turned into cat feet. This caused her to lose her balance and fall to the floor. Her shoes fell off because they were too big for her now. Her feet were now exposed to Tom, Emma, Sharon, and everyone else in the hall.

“What’s happening to you?,” said a concerned Tom.

“Um, nothing,” said Melody. Then her legs turned into cat legs.

“I wouldn’t call this nothing.”

Melody knew that growing a tail was next. She tried to calm herself so she wouldn’t change completely, but it was hard for her with everyone staring at her.
