This choice: Let her go, he knows where to find her • Go Back...Chapter #6Let her go, he knows where to find her by: hahahahaha   "See you tomorrow, Tanner," one of the employees said as Tanner walked out the glass door at his minimum wage Burger King job.
He had just earned enough money to pay off rent from three months ago, but he was still unable to pay all of it off. Tanner got into his car and took a deep breath, he was under a lot of stress right now. It would take another couple weeks to pay off another month of rent.
After being at the gym for a couple of hours, he was thinking about the rent again, so he decided to go to the park to clear his mind.
Once there, he set down on a bench and looked around at the beautiful park. The birds sang as they flew around in the wind, he saw the newly blossomed spring flowers. Maybe this place isn't so bad after all.
Just then, he heard shouting coming from the flower garden.
"Get off me!"
"Where you going, pretty girl?" Tanner turned to see a group of four men harrassing that woman. The men surrounded her, grabbing her in... Inappropriate places... Tanner immediately ran over there to help out.
"Hey, get you hands off of her!" Tanner yelled at them.
"Well well everybody, the knight in shining armor is here," the man chuckled. The man was very well built and was about the same height as Tanner.
"Listen, I don't want to cause any trouble, I just want you to let her go," Tanner said, trying his best not to sound weak.
"And if I don't?"
"I said let her go," Tanner said as he was pushed back by the man.
"What are you gonna do about, huh?" The man kept pushing Tanner back. Tanner finally retorted and shoved the man back. The man charged at Tanner, tackling him to the ground. They began to punching at each other.
"Get off of him!" The woman yelled to the man on top of Tanner.
They both stood up, but still threw punches at each other. Just then, one of the gang said,
"The police is here, we gotta scram!" The man Tanner was fighting with and the rest of the gang ran as Tanner turned to face a few officers that were running up.
"Brooks, Mandell, you two head after that gang," one of the cops said. The cop stopped where Tanner was while the others ran towards the gang.
"Ah, my head kinda hurts," Tanner said. Tanners face was bruised and a little blood trickled down from his nose.
"Everyone alright?" The officer asked. Tanner ant the woman agreed.
"Ok, great," the officer said before running after the gang. The woman walked to the side of Tanner.
"You alright?" Tanner asked.
"Yeah."
"You know, you still haven't told me your name," Tanner pointed out.
"And you, again, didn't ask," she replied.
"Well, what is your name?"
"Lily. Lily Hargrove," she told him.
"That's a beautiful name," Tanner said. Lily blushed and looked to the side.
