One (or both) of them have to go
by: Unknown
"I um I should go," Lily Hargrove says.
Tanner grins goofily at her, "Ain't gonna kiss your rescuer?"
She just stares and he puckers his lips teasingly. "No thank you," she says firmly clutching her book.
"You could let me take you to dinner?"
"I just want to go home and shower," she looks him up and down. "You should too your quite bloodied."
He looks down and searches for the blood she had mentioned. When he looks up Lily Hargrove is too far away to call back. "Dang it," he growls.
The next afternoon
"Hey," Lily says timidly standing in the hall to his apartment.
Tanner hangs out and looks both ways down the hall. "Um hey, how did you find me?"
"I asked you're manager."
"Yeah?"
"Yea," she looks away.
"He isn't one to break rules how'd you talk him into giving you my address?" He crosses his arms and waits.
"I told him I was your cousin and I had come to surprise you but only knew where you worked."
"And he bought that?"
She blushes hot red, "I..." She holds out her hand, in it she holds his ID.
"How did you get that?" He asks snatching it from her.
"I wanted to be sure your weren't just some creep following me around."
"You now know a ton about me. I deserve some answers. Hold on." He shuts his door and snatches his jacket out of the livingroom and snatching his keys off the counter. He opened his door to find her still standing as he had left her. Nodding to himself he turned and locked the door. "We are going to the cafe. It's the closest and has the most privacy."
