The first is one of his guardians, Oifey. Oifey was the strategist for Sigurd's army, kept off the front lines until he had to take Seliph on the run. Learning to ride, use the sword and lance, and growing a badass mustache, he became Seliph's mentor and teacher of the sword-he has Baldur blood in him too.
Shaman was Seliph's other mentor and father figure. The future king of Issac, his aunt Ayra was fighting with Sigurd. He joined Oifey in taking care of Seliph (and his cousins, Ayra's twin son and daughter Ulster and Larcei, as well as Delmud, Lana, and Lester). He picked up the Balmung, one of the Holy Weapons, used by his ancestor Od.
Finally, Seliph has his cousin Leif, who has his own game to star in but is still fairly important. Leif is the son of Ethelyn, Sigurd's sister, and Sigurd's bro-in-law Quan, who was set to inherit the kingdom of Leonster... until their rival, the king of Thracia, Travant murdered his parents in the desert of Yied via flying wyvern attack. Leif's older sister Altena is kidnapped and raised by Travant, while he is raised by Finn, Quan's subordinate, a long with Nanna, the daughter of Lachesis, an ally of Sigurd.
