It wasn't hard for Josh to sneak up on Daphne. Josh quickly slipped a collar around her neck and locked it before she even realized what was happening. She stopped swimming towards her family and turned to face him.
"Master, I'm scared." said Daphne quietly as she clung to Josh tightly
The trauma of the plane crash was still evident on her face, despite the collar's magic. Josh held her close while he swam them to shore.
"Call me Josh when we are not alone." he whispered in her ear
Daphne nodded, her face still buried in his chest. They rose to their feet on land and staggered out of the water towards the Powells.
"Who are you? I thought we were the only ones on the plane." stated Stephanie when greeted by Josh and Daphne
"We stowed away. Wanted a free viewing of the landscape." said Josh
"Well you sure picked the wrong plane." said Jim
"It was worth it. Up until the crashing part, I mean." said Josh
JJ and Daphne were both very quiet. JJ was curled up in a ball, trying to keep warm, while Daphne continued to cling to Josh like her life depended on it. The five of them huddled together waiting for rescue. They conversed on the way back to the hotel. Josh introduced himself, and Daphne his girlfriend.
Once Josh and Daphne left the Powells, Josh teleported them to Daphne's bedroom in the States. They sat down on the bed. While Daphne was no longer catatonic, she was still pretty shaken up. Josh layed her down on the bed and cuddled her, softly kissing her lips, cheeks, and neck until she drifted off to sleep.
