"The Baby-Sitter's Club?" you laugh. "Why do girls read such stupid books?"

"What's wrong with The Baby-Sitter's Club?" she asks, a little offended by your disapproval.

"They are just about girls sitting around gossiping about boring stuff." you assert.

"Have you ever read one?" she asks.

"Of course not." you say. "They are for girls."

"Then how would you know?" she questions you.

"That's what it looks like they are about." You argue weakly.

"Maybe you should actually read one." she suggests, shoving the book at you. "So you know what you're talking about."
