"Really?" you say, getting tired of this nonsense. "Then prove it."
"Okay." she says, unzipping her dress and letting it fall to the floor. As she stands there in her underwear translucent silvery butterfly-like wings suddenly grow out of her back. They begin to flutter and she lifts off the ground. "Now do you believe me?"
With your mouth hanging open, you just nod.
She gracefully returns to the ground "Maybe we should sit down and talk." she suggests, leading you back to the sofa.
When you are seated you ask. "What else can fairies do?"
"I can change my size." She suddenly shrinks to 2 inches tall and flies over to hover near you. "I also have some other magical abilities." She returns to her seat and her normal size.
"And you want to turn me into a fairy too?" you ask.
"Yes." she says. "I like you and I want you to be in my life but a fairy can't have long-term relationship in the same way humans do."
"Why?" you ask. "Because you can only have sex once?"
"That is one of the problems." she says. "The other is that we stop aging at what humans would consider about 25. I'll be like this forever but you'd grow old and die."
"But I wouldn't be a man anymore." you point out. "Would you still want a relationship with me?"
"A different sort of relationship." she says. "You see, like human women, fairies feel the urge to have children. I've been going out with you to determine if you're someone I want as a daughter."
