“Polly! Oh my god,you look great!” fawned Jennifer Gutierrez, who even at her shorter size still outweighed the blonde by quite a bit. Polly, never one to back down from a hug welcomed the embrace of her former roomie Jenny.
“Jenny...wow...you look….” Polly trailed off. Standing in front of her had been her roommate from the year previous, who like Cassandra this year, had been a junior. The only difference was that Jenny had been a certified Buttercombe veteran having attended the academy for all three years, making her unofficially ‘senior sized’ this year. Polly remembered Jenny had always been...well...chubby, to say the least, but here at the party she looked even larger than she remembered! Not only that, she seemed dressed to emphasize her spare tire of a stomach, as it was adorned with a charming bellybutton piercing for all the world to see. “It’s, really good to see you.” Polly finally said backing away from the squishy hug, (but not before noticing the stretch marks that were now slightly etched in the tanned tummy in front of her.)
“Hehe thanks good to see you too. So, how was your summer girl?” asked Jenny. Last school year she had acted as the caring huge big sister between the two. The somewhat lanky beanpole that had been Polly the freshman had quickly rounded out and gained a decadent curvy shape. That hadn’t been the only big change for Polly last year either, Jenny had also been there when Polly had came out concerning her sexuality and had providing much comfort and support for her round roomie.
“It was great! My parents were a little…surprised at first to see that their beanpole of a daughter had finally gotten a country-girl's appetite, but other than that it was great. Farm’s still doing good and everything.”
“Hmmph Well I’m glad your parents took it so well.” said Jenny suddenly sounding a little piqued. “I remember mine weren’t exactly thrilled when I came home 25lbs heavier after my freshman year. Not that I cared too much. But then when I came back after sophomore year, I was even bigger! You should have seen the looks on their faces."
Polly had imagined the looks many a time before, in fact she had heard Jenny explain this whole situation many a time before, and she also knew any minute she would bring up her fat admiring boyfriend-
“But then Jeff, you remember Jeff right?" Polly nodded remembering how day after day Jenny had brought up the subject of her boyfriend Jeff. Whether she liked it or not, Polly had always been the first to here of how Jen’s love life was going. She had listened to her friend talk every day on how things were going between them, from when the lovebirds were fighting till their eventual making up, Polly would never admit it but it got a bit tiresome after a while.
"Well, anyways this summer he decided to do something really special for me. He flat out told me he loved me just the way I was and diet or not he was going to spoil me. And...well...he did. He came by practically every day with leftovers from his shift at McDonald's. See my parent had me on total snack lock down, but he’d sneak in and then we’d cuddle for a bit. And then I would just eat and eat and eat. It was great! He couldn’t keep his hands off my big squishy belly; and by then end of the summer I had put on ten pounds. He was so happy! No to mention how we were so horny! I mean he couldn’t keep his hands off my-“
“Jenny!” Polly shouted, remembering all too well how her friend had never been one to skip on the details of her love life.
“What?”
“You know, some of us don’t have boyfriends who are F.A.’s…When I was at home I just sorta indulged over the summer. My parents are very nurturing’ and I told you about mom's home cookin-“
“Aww, relax you look great! And in case you forgot the food here is probably even better than what you got at home." reminded Jennifer, her stomach serving as a three year long testament to that fact. "Besides, if I remember right, you were the one who was complaining about looking like a stick last year. "Oh!" Jen suddenly continued seemingly without the need to pause for breath. “So, who’s your new roomie? “ she asked peeling her eyes and scanning the room.
“The shor-Uh, the red head with the freckles. She's in the blue.” Said Polly as she pointed a chubby finger.
“Oh, the midget? Ha! I thought she was someone’s lost little sister or something!" laughed Jen.
“Jenny! She’s older than I am; in fact she’s a junior.”
“You’re shitting me!”
“No really! And she seems very nice. Look, I just met her so please don’t do nothin' embarssin' when you meet her like call her shorty or somethin.” Polly explained hurriedly. Jen noted that a bit of bush was now working its way into her portly protégé’s voluminous cheeks.
“Hmmm a cook! Four years here and I didn’t get a single roomie in the culinary arts." Jenny with the belly like jelly chuckled. “Well, if is she’s a good chef, she’s definitely a keeper in my book…” she added sending a nudging elbow colliding into Polly’s airbag like belly.
“Stop,” said Polly with a giggle as her stomach happened to be very ticklish. She leaned in closer now. It was impossible to whisper but the loud music easily kept the conversation private between the girls. “I haven’t even told her about….that. I don’t even know if she’s…Look, I just didn’t want to say it first thing. “Hi, nice to meet yall! Oh, by the way I’m gay.’” said Polly exaggerating her country accent.
“You know what I meant Polly” explained Jen. “I’m sure you two will get along great. Which reminds me, you better stop by a bit this year and come see me and my roomie too, not just when we throw a party!”
“Sure thing Jenny!” suddenly there was a shift in music as a new song blasted its way out from the speakers. “Oh ma gawd, I love this song! Hey, good talking with ya Jenny, but I came tonight to party! Now where’s the dance floor?” asked the tall teen as she made her way through the crowd.

Meanwhile taking place at the exact same time at the snack table Cassandra was busy trying to do some mingling of her own."So…what’s this stuff called again?" asked the redhead as she stared at the large punchbowl full of a strange golden fluid.
"Beezwax Brew!" exclaimed a fellow freshmen featherweight. “It’s weird… It kinda tastes like really sweet lemonade, only with oranges in it. I didn’t like it at first but after a few sips I was hooked!”
“Is it, uh…”
“Spiked? I don’t think so…” she replied sounding rather unsure herself. Cassandra shrugged and helped herself to a cup. It was really sweet, and fruity too...Was that orange peel or lemon zest she tasted, maybe it was both? She took another sip of the golden punch, and putting her taste buds to work, she tried to decipher what was in the delectable drink. It was something sweet, but thick…was this…of course! Honey! Whoever had brewed this stuff had added honey in place of sugar, what an interesting idea! But she supposed that was to be expected from such a highly regarded culinary program. Traveling with glass in tow, Cass went down the table striking up with some of the other partiers, most who were busy stuffing their faces.
“So uh, I’m Cass and I'm new here….” Cassandra began for lack of a better opening line.
“Mhhhm” replied the girl looking more interested in her half eaten cupcake than the redhead.
“Are those cupcakes any good?” asked Cassandra, wondering if the perfectly iced cakes had been made by a fellow student or were just store bought.
“Mmhmm!” enthusiastically replied the cupcake consumer giving a small thumbs-up just before she lowered the rest of the cupcake into her mouth. Cassandra looked back to the table and was just about to sample one of the treats when suddenly there was a shift in music as a new song blasted its way out from the speakers.
No way! She hadn’t heard this song in forever! Looking around she saw nobody else at the party seemed in the mood for dancing. Well, she’d show them how it’s done!
