My name is Dan (16).
My sister's name is Cassie (13).
Her friend's name is Jess (13).

One sunny day, I was walking around town with my sister, Cassie, who had brought her friend, Jess, with her. We were talking about how girls interpreted boys' sexual desires. We talked about the rudeness of a man whistling at them.

Cassie: I hate it when they do that. It feels so... so violating!
Me: Is it that bad?
Jess: Are you kidding?? You are so lucky! You don't have to deal with any of this crap!
Me: I'm sure they don't mean it in that way...
Cassie: Dan! It's still really creepy!
Jess: Man! If I were a boy...
Cassie: I wish you c- Waitasec!
Me: What, Cassie?
Cassie: What if you and Jess swapped bodies?
Jess: You mean with that amulet-thing that guy gave you a while ago?
Me: ...
Cassie: Yeah! Why not? You could live each other's lives for like a month or so to see what the "other side" experiences every day.
Jess: That sounds like so much fun! I've always been curious about what being a boy was like!
Me: And what about my opinion?
Jess: Who cares about your opinion! Let's do this!
Me: Cassie!
Cassie: C'mon, Dan. It's only one month of your entire life.
I stared at Jess' body.
Me: Well...
Jess: Awesome! Let's do this!
Cassie: Let's go into that alley to do it.

I followed the girls into the nearby alley. Cassie held her necklace up to the sun and closed her eyes. Then everything faded to white.
