Rainbow Dash was never as excited as she was today. After training for years, she finally made it to the Wonderbolt audition. Before anypony was even considered they would have to show their best tricks to a talent seeker, then they would receive an invitation if they are good enough. Just last week Rainbow Dash got her invitation and now she was in the Cloudsdale headquarters of the Wonderbolts, waiting for the audition. Next to her were two more pegasi that made the cut, a brown stallion with a black mane and a sky-blue mare with a white mane, all three of them were excited and nervous.
Finally the Wonderbolts came in, Spitfire and Soarin were walking ahead of two other members. The three pegasi became even more nervous as they saw the serious expression on their faces. "Alright everypony listen up, you three proved that your flying abilities are good enough for the team but flying skills are not everything." Spitfire explained and started pacing between the three candidates. "You need to prove that you can keep a clear head in dangerous situations and push forward in the face of possible death." Stopping in front of Rainbow Dash, who stood in the middle, she gave them a stern look. "This is the hardest test in Equestria, the only possible outcomes are success and acceptance into the Wonderbolts or death."
Rainbow Dash and the other pegasi gasped as they heard this. It was no secret that the final test to become a Wonderbolt was hard but they didn't know that it was this bad. Spitfire saw the nervousness in them. "This is your last chance to back out, if the test starts there's no turning back." All of them remained silent, even if there was a chance of dying, they have come too far to give up their dream now.
Spitfire waited one more minute before declaring, "Very well then, now you are either Wonderbolts or dead. The test is a very unconventional one and it involves a special potion." On this cue another Wonderbolt came in, carrying a tablet with three glasses on them. "Drink up and then we can start."
Obediently the three of them took the glasses and downed the content. Rainbow Dash tried to find any sort of taste in this potion, strangely it tasted a little like her feathers when she preened herself. After they finished the drinks, Spitfire addressed them again. "You will feel the effect of the potion any moment now, as for the test you'll be...."
