Gilda wanted to answer but a loud growling sound gave Rainbow Dash the answer. The pegasus mare looked only slightly nervous, she trusted Gilda not to eat her but this still meant that her old friend would look out for a pony to eat. "Alright then, in that case I guess you have to do what you have to do." Even though she was still a little nervous, she was pretty much used to this already and even watched Gilda a few times when she ate another pony. It was difficult for Rainbow Dash every time as Gilda's prey would always cry and beg Rainbow Dash to save them. "By the way, can I come along? I've made a few friends here in Ponyville and I would really prefer if you didn't eat them."
Gilda nodded, it was hard enough to find a friend when all ponies are on your menu so she wouldn't want to have Rainbow Dash fall out with her. "It's cool Dash, just point them out for me so I know not to eat them. But seriously, I'm starving." Normally any sensible pony would be running for the hills if they heard a gryphon say that but Rainbow Dash stayed calm. "Alright then, let's go for a fly." Gilda agreed and they made their way into town.
The news about Gilda's arrival spread fast, Ponyvilles streets were sweeped empty. One condition for gryphons was that they could not break into a home, that's why ponies that lived in a town visited by a gryphon usually only went out if absolutely necessary. What most ponies didn't know is that gryphons were usually not as fast as a well trained pony, so staying indoors all day and getting chubby just made them an easier meal if they had to go out. At first their search seemed to be fruitless when Gilda spotted somepony on the ground.
