Rainbow Dash eagerly flew to Sweet Apple Acres, Pinkie skipping behind her. When the flatulent duo reached the farm, they saw Applejack working hard as usual. She was bucking apples from trees. Which gave Rainbow Dash an idea.
"Hey Applejack!" Rainbow called as she and Pinkie approached their friend.
"Howdy you two," Applejack greeted in her southern drawl. "I'm afraid I don't have much time for chitchat. Just look at all these apples I have to buck!" Rainbow and Pinkie looked around. Most of the trees in the orchard were full of apples. "It doesn't help that Big Mac's gone and hurt himself again," she grumbled.
"I think we can help you," Rainbow Dash announced. Just when Applejack started to thank her, Rainbow continued, "but let's make this interesting." She walked over to a nearby tree teeming with ripe apples. "Five bits says I can knock all the apples down from this tree without bucking it. Or flying up there and knocking the apples down. Or touching the tree or the apples at all."
Applejack thought for a second, repeating Rainbow Dash's bet conditions under her breath to try to find some sneaky wording Rainbow could possibly exploit as a loophole. "And Pinkie Pie? She won't do anything to the trees or apples either?" She asked.
"She won't. It will be 100% me," Rainbow Dash confirmed.
"Easiest five bits I ever made," Applejack said with a grin.
Smiling, Rainbow Dash began pushing with all her might, resulting in an especially loud fart that initially hurt a little on its way out. Rainbow ignored the awkward feeling in her backside and continued farting as loudly as she could. Though it was no easy feat to produce such a noisy one, even with the help of Twilight's magic, Rainbow Dash heard the sound of apples falling to the ground behind her and smiled when she realized she won the bet.
Rainbow and Pinkie laughed together, both at the fart itself and in surprise that Rainbow actually won the bet. Applejack, on the other hand, merely stared at the blue pegasus with her mouth and eyes wide open. Whether this facial expression was from disbelief, disgust, or amazement, however, Rainbow could not discern.
"Someone owes me five bits!" Rainbow proudly exclaimed as she stopped giggling. As Applejack continued to look at her with a blank stare, Rainbow asked, "Want anymore help? Me and Pinkie might as well do something constructive with all this gas." Pinkie hopped to a nearby tree and, like Rainbow Dash, farted as loudly as she possibly could, knocking apples to the ground. "Good one, Pinkie!" Rainbow chuckled. "So, how about it?"
Applejack finally broke her silence to answer Rainbow's offer.
