Fairies

The Fae would know things even if they hadn’t been involved in the crimes but she knew she would have to pay a price for the information. Fairies love to make deals and bargains especially ones in their favor. It was certainly going to delay her search for the Princess but it was a good idea to know what was going on with the Fae because they were always up to things that could cause danger and harm to people.

To track the mystical Fae require all of her senses because of how easily they could hide from the world when they wanted to but they couldn’t help making a game of leaving a trail. Sometimes it was an out of place scent or a sound that didn’t belong but a trail was almost always left for people who knew what to look for. The trail she discovered was of fresh flowers that hinted it was the Spring or Summer court she was dealing with.

There were four courts of fairies divided up by the seasons and at constant war with each other. She hoped it was the Spring because they tended to be the most friendly but none were completely safe to deal with. Thankfully, Narra’s tribe was not part of the war like some elves were.

She could hear the sound of music and celebration ahead of herself so she slowed her movement. Narra knew the creatures ahead of her didn’t like to be disturb when they were having fun unless they were entertained somehow by the one who interrupted the festivities. She didn’t want to wait until they were done because days could pass by then and it could be even far longer. Pulling her cloak down to camouflage herself from any guards that might spot her while she decided what to do next. There was a resistance of a magical barrier as she approached the village that tried to get her and any outsider who would try to come near the village to leave. No alarm appear to be present but that didn’t mean one wasn’t near.

A slight sigh of relief came from her lips as she noticed it was the Spring Court. She wasn’t sure what they were celebrating but she didn’t see any humans in the village and no one appeared to be guarding anything so it wasn’t likely that they had the Princess.
