The fire giants were always trouble, they weren’t numerous but they were great warriors who made slaves of many creatures to work their furnaces. Their arms and armor were some of the finest to be found and they had devious minds they used to make war whenever they thought they could win so Eric decided to go after them and show them they weren’t going to win.
They were easy to find in these northern lands where there were few places that had the heat they enjoyed. The fire giants were located in the Ring of Fire, a series of volcanoes in the shape of a circle, and the giants ruled the surrounding area from inside the safety of the volcanoes they used to power their furnaces. Eric didn’t think he would be able to take down the entire organization but he could create enough trouble to change their minds for at least a little while about making war.
He was curious to see what the place looked like and the dangers that were there because he had heard some fantastic tales of what was lurking in the valley in the Ring of Fire. Giant lizards lived in the valley, enormous monsters who were even dangerous to the fire giants. He had heard them called dinosaurs or thunder lizards because some of them were so large their footsteps were like the sound of thunder.
The barbarian needed to decide on how to attack the fire giants to hurt them the most. As slavers, they were vulnerable if those who they enslaved broke free. The furnaces were vulnerable because of how explosive they were and even fire giants burned from lava. Finally, the thunder lizards were dangerous and that could be a great ally to damaging the fortified home of the fire giants if he could create an entrance for them.
