Mom was looking for something specific in the packages. She finally found it and gave it to Daniel. "Here, take this," she said. You look around and see that your mom had handed to Daniel a pink teddy bear.
"What's this for?" Daniel inquired.
"Toddlers always have a special stuffed animal or doll that is their security blanket. You know like Linus has his blanket on Peanuts. This one is yours." After a pause she continued, "I want you to carry it around like a toddler does. I want you to keep it with you practically always."
You hadn't even thought of all this when you hypnotized mom. You thought that maybe she would keep him in diapers and maybe wet himself. But this was going all out. The teddy bear was the cherry on the sundae. By now Jane had brought up the last of the packages and didn't have to be told to help Emma put stuff away. It was at this point that Daniel remembered something. "I can't go to school like this." he said. It's not that he would be embarrassed he just knew it wouldn't work.
"Oh, don't worry about that, you won't be going to school while you are dressed as a toddler," she reassured him.
"How long will that be?"
"Don't worry about it, besides toddlers can't tell time anyway." Daniel never worried about that again. But Jane did ask, "How long will he be like this?" Mom whispered so that Daniel couldn't hear. "Forever."
