Chapter #12Telling The Truth & Lilithmon's Blessing by: Vocal   "Eric, wait!" Suddenly your dad spoke up. So in response, you turned around and said, "What?"
He swallowed hard and you noticed sweat dripping down his forehead as he looked at you.
"Just curious," He asked, "what does 'Come with me, follow me' mean to you?"
Just shortly after your dad said those words, you heard Lilithmon's voice in your mind once more, as she spoke up and said, 'It's okay, my love. You can tell him about us.' Although you wanted to lie to your dad about Lilithmon to keep him out of harm from the other Digimon Demon Lords, but from hearing that Lilithmon gave you her blessing to reveal the truth to your dad, you almost felt a great weight lifted from your shoulders.
Then, after you took a deep breath to steady your nerves, you looked at your father and asked, "Dad, do you know what a Digimon is?" Confused, your dad looked at you with a slightly raised eyebrow, as he spoke to you and said, "Of course I know what Digimon are, but what does this have to do with my previous question?" As you heard your Dad's response, you gently ruined the back of your head with your hand, still keeping eye contact with your father and replied, "Actually...it does have to do with Digimon, Dad. More specifically, a certain Digimon that's kept her eyes on me over the past few days we've lived here."
"'Her?' Eric, are you saying that some female Digimon is stalking you? Son, we moved to get away from the chaos that was the D-Reaper." Your father answered, with a sense of concern in his voice, since he wasn't used to such aggressive changes in lifestyle in such a rapid pace, seeing as how your family home was right where the D-Reaper was located at.
After all, you were best friends with one of the Digidestined that destroyed the D-Reaper, Henry Wong, since the two of you were kids. However, seeing as how your own dad was exaggerating a bit, you snapped at him and said, "We're not dealing with another D-Reaper, Dad!" Hearing you yell at him made your father stop talking, looking at you, while you were taking a few deep breaths to calm yourself down, as you looked at him and replied, "Look, I know you're still trying to recover from what happened back in Tokyo, but you don't have to treat every Digimon like they're monsters. It's not like we're dealing with Godzilla or anything like that."
You knew your dad still wasn't used to being around Digimon after all that's happened back where you used to live, but you wanted him to understand that not every single Digimon wants to enslave or destroy the human race. In fact, most Digimon were friendly sometimes, seeing as how Henry had a Digimon Partner named Terriermon, seeing as how the relationship between Henry & Terriermon was the equivalent of two brothers who are the same age.
Then, you heard your father speak up and asked, "Then what makes this Digimon you're speaking of different from the D-Reaper, Eric?" "First off (insert father's name here), the D-Reaper was just a giant blob monster that was created from some guys who thought the Digimon were a threat, which ended up going berserk and ran amok, nearly destroying both the city we called home and the Digital World in the process! Second, if she was an evil Digimon, we wouldn't be standing here among the living, talking right now. And third....she, um....she's fallen in love with me." You answered, as your cheeks blushed a deep red from the part where you said that Lilithmon was in love with you.
After hearing what you said to him, your dad lightened up some, seeing as how you were right about the Digimon (who he didn't know it was Lilithmon at the time) that spared you both, letting out an apologetic sigh and said, "Eric...I'm sorry about what I said earlier, I just..I just don't want to lose you...." But then, he remembered what you said earlier to him and said, "....Did..Did you just say that 'she's fallen in love with you?'"
Finding it a course funny that it took longer than expected for your dad to relay the info that you had a Digimon for a girlfriend, as you chuckled a bit from his dumbfounded reaction and replied, "Yep, guilty as charged, Dad. I have a Digimon for a girlfriend." From this sort of news, your father wasn't sure if he should surprised that a Digimon is in love with you, or proud that you actually got yourself a girlfriend. But then, in response of this interspecies romance, your dad looked at you and answered....
