When the bag was opened again, Ron noticed his captor was none other than Hermione!
"What were you doing alone back there? You know how dangerous it can be! And why are you naked? You could get expelled from the school! Merlin what is wrong with you?" Hermione kept shouting at him and asking him what on earth was he doing outside alone, naked, at night
Ron didn't care about the shouting, now that he knew reality changed with his shrinking he was just glad that Hermione remained his friend and he was close to fix this once she took him with Harry
"Hermione! I'm so glad it's you!" Ron couldn't help shouting too "Please take me to Harry, I need to talk with him urgently!"
"Alright, but you have some explaining to do" she told him as she told him to get back in the bag and took the staircase towards the boys dormitory.
Harry was there, and once Ron could finally get some clothes from his belongings that fit his new size (though for some reason he noticed even these were already baggy) he wanted to ask Harry about the wand they found but first had to endure the barrage of questions about his "naked escapade". He tried to tell them he was on a date with Lavender, but from their reactions he could see he no longer had a girlfriend
"What are you talking about buddy?" Harry said "You don't have a girlfriend, I don't know if Lavender has a boyfriend but us and your siblings are the only people that talk with you here, with your condition someone has to be with you at all times"
"Yeah, that's why we were so worried, your mom would have killed us all if she found out you suddenly disappeared" Hermione said with a frown, this has never happened before with his toddler sized friend, it was so weird.
"Alright forget about it, Harry I need to see the wand that we found this morning"
"The one that exploded? I just put it back in the box covering my hands while picking it up, that was so scary"
"That one, that's the reason I'm so small now" Ron told his friend hopeful to end this nightmare
"What? No, Ron we researched this remember? You have an incredible rare condition for a magician that made you stop growing after 1 foot and... " Hermione tried to explain but Ron cut her off
"Hermione, please listen to me, have you ever seen another person this small! Let me at least get the wand so I can go back to normal. Please trust me!" Ron said with a tinge of fear that both their friends thought it was very unusual for him. Sure Hermione was fascinated with him from the moment they met and Harry was just happy to meet another outcast friend with something unique on his life, but they both admired Ron's behavior considering his size. He was never like this.
"Alright, just let me get it" Harry said as he went to his bed to retrieve the box. He brought it back and they examined the contents again
"It looks like a normal wand to me Ron.. wait, let me examine the book" Hermione said as Harry waited and Ron, feeling desperate went to touch the strange wand, that was now almost half as tall as him
