Chapter #5A Female Nurse by: Unknown As I lay in a heap on the floor, tears streaming down my cheeks, I saw a nurse come into the room. Seeing me lying on the floor, she immediately ran over and knelt down next to me. "Brian, are you alright?"
Taken aback by the fact that this nurse, who I'd never met before, knew me by name, I said, "No, I'm not fine; I'm a girl!!"
As she helped me to my feet, the nurse said, "I know this is a bit of an adjustment for you..."
"What do you mean...a bit of an adjustment?" shocked, I said, "I wake up after being in a coma for 6 months to find that I've been turned into a girl; I'd say that’s a pretty big adjustment."
"Okay, you've got me there." Sighing, she said, "I guess this is major adjustment for you."
I realized then that the nurse was taking me back to my bed; so I said, "Wait. I, uh, have to use the toilet."
After 10 minutes of waiting, I had my very first experience going to the bathroom as a girl. Once I'd made sure to wipe myself, the nurse came into help me to my bed. Careful not to grab hold of my breasts, the nurse said, "By the way, I'm Rachel; I've been your nurse since you arrived 6 months ago."
"Hi Rachel, it's nice to meet you." Pausing, I said, "Appearances aside, I'm Brian."
"It's nice to officially meet you, Brian." Smiling, Rachel said, "I've heard a lot about you from your brother and father."
We'd arrived back at my bed by that point; with Rachel's help I got back under the covers. Turning to her, I said, "Do you have any idea when I'll be getting out of here?"
"No more than a few days; the doctors want to make sure you're in perfect health."
Just then there was a knock on the door; followed by my dad poking his head inside. "Rachel, could I speak to my...daughter in private?"
"Of course, Kevin; come on in." walking over to my dad, Rachel said, "Be gentle with her, okay? She's still in shock."
I silently watched the exchange between my dad and Rachel; surprised when I noticed Dad giving her an affectionate squeeze on her hand. Once Rachel left, Dad turned to me and said, "I guess you've got a lot of questions you want answered."
"You bet I do, dad."   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
