Abby smiled at her son acting a little awkward towards him “A-Alex sweetie do you think you could do mommy a favor and help her with something?” Alex was willing to do anything for his mother, if she needed a favor he would do it.
“Certainly Mom what do you need me to do?” Abby continued to smile knowing he was about to hate her request. “I need you to play with your little sister for a few days.” Alex couldn’t believe she just asked him that.
He shook his head fearfully backing away from his mother. “M-Mom you can’t be serious, do you know what she's going to do to me!” Abby nodded her head having an idea of what Samantha would do.
“sweetie you just need to understand something. Your little sister is just going through a phase. I'm sure after you spend a few days playing with her this will get out of her system.” Alex wasn't too sure this was as simple as a phase.
He shook his head at his mother, “Mom please don’t make me do this!” Abby sighed knowing this must be completely terrifying to her son. “Alex please I need you to cooperate with me. A few days of torture and this will all be over.”
Alex had no desire to go anywhere near his little sister, “why do I need to be willing to do this?” Abby bent over getting down to his eye level, “She needs to think that her brother wants to play with her.”
Alex was starting to see the logic his mom was laying out. “if I don't cooperate and play with her it would just be torture.” Abby nodded her head “You just need to spend Friday and Saturday with her.”
Alex groaned knowing that was actually two and a half days with Samantha. "if you cooperate with me and play with your sister I'll reward you on Sunday."
