The twins held each other for dear life, feeling time slow down as they watched the colossal mountain of pancakes come crashing down towards them. Wendy simply slid the homemade pancakes onto the glassy white plate, leaving the dough to just avalanche over the twins keeping them pinned under the pancakes.
"I can't breathe!" Mary shouted from under the pancakes, hyperventilating while speaking. Jamie grabbed his sister and blocked her mouth.
"Mary! Just shut up. We can get through this." Jamie said quickly trying to think up of a plan. Mary calmed down before pushing up against the massive wall of pancakes. Jamie took a bite of the pancake, after a second he began munching on the flapjack. He signaled for Mary to do the same, the two finally ate enough to stop themselves suffocating, but both kids were still trapped underneath.
"Thanks Wendy," the blonde woman thanked her sister. She wasted no time before digging into the stack of pancakes. Catherine ate the first one fairly quickly, she stopped to take a quick swig of a cup of milk that her younger sister poured for her. Catherine eyed the syrup bottle, it was nearly full the brim and Catherine loved to drown her pancakes in syrup, much to the annoyance of Wendy. The golden brown syrup oozed onto the stack of pancakes slowly flowing towards the small crevice where Catherine's younger brother and sister were trapped in.
Mary and Jamie groaned to themselves as the syrup slowly stuck to them, the sticky liquid soaked them from head to toe, getting into their hair and mouth. The twins panicked and tried to swallow as much as they could, most of it was too hard to swallow so the spit it out in a separate direction. Every minute or so they could feel the weight pressed up upon them lessen as Catherine devours another pancake.Mary and Jamie listened to the small talk that Wendy and Catherine had, both hoping that Wendy would mention the stature of the two of them. It wasn't long before Catherine got to the last of the four pancakes she ate this one slower than the others making sure to savor each piece that she had cut, sucking off all the syrup that had soaked to last pancake. She had gone to the last few pieces before skewering her fork into the piece that had imprisoned Mary and Jamie.
