"Actually you'll be one of the bitches." Rebecca said into the phone. She managed to hold back a giggle because she knew that it could possible set Shawn off.
"Oh come on!" Shawn said exasperated, "Why the hell would the studio need to be so specific with something like that, it shouldn't matter the gender of the damn dog so long as it's displaying that human like intelligence they want. What do they want to do, show close ups of dog crotches or something?"
"I'm sorry Shawn, but the studio was very specific in what they are looking for and I didn't want to argue the silly little point of gender and risk losing the contract."
"My gender is not a 'silly little point'. It's kind of a big deal to me. A very big deal." Shawn said into the phone.
"I'm sure it is." Rebecca said calmly, "But it's a little bit of a dry spell as far as stuntwork goes, I'm guessing they aren't filming Hollywood blockbusters for a few months so we have to take what we get and this is what we have. You want to be able to pay the rent don't you?"
Shawn reluctantly said, "Yeah I guess."
"Good. Now let me give you some more details." Shawn could here Rebecca fumbling with some papers over the phone, "Okay, the shoot will be nice and simple. It lasts 5 days with a 2 day training period for the dog aka you. Meaning you will be a dog for 7 days."
"That's not too bad." Shawn said glad that it wouldn't be too long, but he also had another question in mind, "Where will I be when I'm not shooting or training? Will I have a handler?" Shawn said this thinking back to his last shoot as a dog where he'd been left with a really crummy handler who kept him under surveillance so he had to be stuck in dog form the entire shoot, and Shawn was really not looking forward to working under the same circumstances again.
