Glaceon eyes the mysterious mist-liquid and is just about to reach out and dab at it when you think to speak, "You sure it'll be okay? There's quite a few fairies in there..."
Glaceon, correctly thinking you'd recalled her prior warning, slowly shakes her head, "Not all fairies are untrustworthy. Beside, the water... stuff is Xerneas's doing. We can trust him."
You blink, "Now I'm confused."
"Think of fairies as being... Hyped on life and trying to take full advantage of it. Hence they play around and act like there are no consequences to their actions. The older ones, like Xerneas, know better, but even they still have that feeling of being flush with life. Or so Xerneas puts it. That desire to make the most of what they have leads to... Actually everything a fairy may do. Even if it doesn't make sense to us."
You raise an eyebrow at that description, "So the fairies that do try to trick you...?"
"Some don't realize their being deceptive. Others do it on purpose, maybe maliciously, maybe not. But all do it to make the most of what they have. Fairies are just fortunate to have a lot. Now, hang on," You almost question her, then hold your tongue as you realize she is about to wade into the liquid.
The moment one of Glaceon's paws touches the stuff, she stops. A shiver runs up her body, jostling you on your perch. When she does not move, you speak, "What's wrong?"
Another shiver runs through Glaceon as she reacts to your question, "I... can feel my paw moving through it, but it doesn't feel like there is a liquid. More like... Really thick air. And it doesn't feel wet. It feels... Cold. Not like cold cold. But comfortable for me cold. Actually, it's like my paw is in a snow flurry..."
She doesn't say any more, instead continuing to begin wading into the mist-liquid lake. Her steps are slow and hesitant, still clearly not sure what to make of this. Yet, as far you can tell, she seems okay. You decide to give her head a rub and, judging by the flick of the ears and the brief purr, Glaceon appreciates your attempt to reassure her.
Glaceon comes to another halt, now with the liquid just below her shoulders.
