Amy and her 13 year-old sister, Emma, gave had a hard life up to this point. Both were very pretty with long, brown hair and cute faces, they originally came from the Former Soviet Union country of Belarus. Because their parents were somewhat close to Chernobyl's blast radius, they developed cancer and died when Amy and Emma were quite young. Amy took up a job as a journalist while Amy did odd jobs to rake in enough money to keep their apartment. They learned many different languages while doing so. They kept legit until the government started to construct a nuclear power plant. Amy did everything in her power to stop its construction. The government arrested Amy and kept her in jail for a week as their one and only warning. From then on, the government spied on the sisters to make sure they stopped protesting. However, during a surprise search of Emma's purse, the authorities found Amy's report notebook which has been mistakenly been placed there. Emma tried to explain, but it too late. The officers started to shoot at her with their Russian-made pistols. Whether it was good luck or bad aim, Emma escaped without a scratch.
When Emma told Amy about the Fray, they packed their bags and got all their savings in ten minutes and ran to the airport. At the airport, Amy frantically looked for flights that led to 1st world countries where they could easily start anew. Moscow, Kiev, Athens, Istanbul, Tehran, Oslo... All these places were either too close to home or they didn't speak the language. Than Emma saw two words that triggered thought of success and glory: "Los Angeles" Emma said out loud. Amy nodded and she quickly bought the tickets. They quickly ran to the terminal, seeing two soldiers, carrying AK-12s, were following them. They got on the plane in the nick of time and flew away.
When they arrived many hours later, it was night, and the girls were exhausted. They called a taxi. And got in. "Where to ma'am?" Asked the driver. "Anywhere but here..." Amy struggled to say as she started to drift off into sleep. The driver thought for a minute and started to drive north. The two girls fell asleep in the backseat of the taxi, relieved that they escaped death, or worse.
