This choice: you remember who she is. • Go Back...
Chapter #8
you remember who she is.
by: Unknown
A memory suddenly appears in your mind, an older woman taking care of you as a child.
"Mother?" You ask the woman though your tongue says something else at the same time. The woman runs over to you and grabs your head as tightly as she can.
"Everything's going to be okay, darling." She says in a strange, unfamiliar language, though one you can understand for some reason. Her long black hair is ponytailed, her brown eyes let go of tears as she looks at you proudly.
"Yes, mother." You tell the woman before you feel a wave of tiredness coming over you and you close your eyes again and everything turns dark again, with you not knowing what happens anymore.
It feels like minutes when you wake up again, but it's been a day. At least that's what you make out of the story your new mother is telling you. She's sitting excitedly next to you, telling you everything what happened. How you were walking at a crosswalk when a car came out of nowhere and hit you. It's strange that the new you and the old you have that in common with each other. You were both victims of some drunk driver who didn't watch out. Perhaps it was the same person? No way, that would be too much of a coincidence. The woman chatters away happily and inside you, you were happy for the woman that she had her daughter back. Then all of a sudden the woman stands up. Looking at the clock she notices visitor's hours were over already. She tells you that she will be back tomorrow and brings someone along as well. Telling you to sleep well, Farida. Farida, that is your new body's name. Your new body, but what happened to your old body? You wonder if you can get back into your ghost form. Was it possible? Having nothing else to do, you try to do your best. Does it work?
