Echoing through the halls of Collège Françoise Dupont was the booms of loud eructations. They were deep, animalistic roars that anyone would sooner guess came from drunken truckers rather than the actual culprits.
“I didn’t expect you to be this good, Marinette.” One of the belchers commented.
Indeed, hidden behind a curtain of crimson cheeks laid the emitter of the first and third beastly belches: Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
“How did I get talked into doing this?” The Chinese-French girl questioned internally. “This is humiliating!”
In actuality, the dark-haired teenager only took part in this juvenile competition at the constant behest of her opponent. Every day during class, the girl would request that Marinette participate in a burping contest. Paper airplane notes, text messages, and even outright asking her were just some of the various means that were used to coax her.
“Let’s just get this over with.” Marinette sighed. “I don’t want to attract attention.”
Unbeknownst to her, spectators had already gathered to see this rare sight. Two in particular were grinning in delight.
“I told you my plan would work perfectly.” A snobbish voice stated.
“You’re right, Chloé.” A meeker voice replied. “I’m still surprised that she agreed to this.”
Yes, this whole event was in the end completely orchestrated by the school’s resident alpha bitch: Chloé Bourgeois . ‘Why?’, you may ask. The answer is quite simple.
“When Adrien finds her acting like a pig, he’ll realize she’s no good and pay more attention to me.” The blonde exposited.
Speaking of the teenage Renaissance man, he was walking though the school entrance to his class, and heading right toward the contest. And the poor students had no idea.
And who would the unwitting adversary currently competing against Marinette be, exactly?
