Before, her life had been miserable. She was no one, and Vanessa was bullying her all day long, telling her she was flat and a stupid geek. Now? She had one chance to change it all. But at least, she had Lucy. And decided to share the dictaphone she recevied with her best friend. Then Lucy revealed her true colors, stealing the dictaphone from her, and making her the new bully around. Was she doomed to a life of misery and bullying? Was everyone just going to treat her like crap? Could she trust anyone but herself?
Angie was still crying, but sadness was turning into anger. Anger against Lucy. Against Vanessa. Against anyone, always taking advantage of her or not standing for her. It couldn't go like this.
"They'll pay!" whispered Angie, furious. "They'll all pay! If I can't trust anyone, then they'll all fear me!"
She stood and walked back to the locker room. She stopped at the door, tears still running down her cheeks, and listened. Lucy was talking with her teammates, proudly laughing about how Angie had fled earlier.
"The girl has no spine!" Lucy was telling. "Only girls with a spine can grow boobs, else, they'd be broken in half!"
They laughed even louder, and only stopped when Angie barged in.
"What?!" exclaimed Lucy.
Angie looked at the girls, then at Lucy's backpack, waiting on a bench. She could see the dictaphone inside it from there. And she was between Lucy and her backpack.
"Angie, don't do anything stupid!" ordered Lucy "Or I'm gonna kick your ass!"
"Like you won't anyway!" said Angie, still crying, as she ran to the backpack...
