Santiago was fishing in the city river. He liked to do it. Not for the food, because with the pollution, eating a fish from there was like drinking fuel, but because he liked to. He'd sat on a nice, quiet place of the riverbank, fish for a couple hours while listening to music, and relax. He liked to think there.
But today, when he thought he just had caught a middle sized fish, he found himself with a weird, shiny silver and black device stuck in his line. He didn't get how his line got so entangled around this thing. It was almost like this device managed to knot itself in like it wanted to get out of the water.
Santiago grumbled as he had to cut the line to get the strange device.
"Looks like I'm done fishing for today..." sighed the 5'10 latino boy. At 18 years old, he was a senior in his high school, living quite a common life. A couple girlfriends during his highschool years, average looks, average results, and he was going to community college next year. Which was just in a few months. Except his taste for fishing and the sea in general, he didn't know what he'd do. Maybe become an oceanographer? Maybe.. but he'd need to work harder since he wasn't exactly in the top of his class. Else, he'd end up with a big student loan, an average degree and a small job.
Santiago checked the device. Was it a voice recorder? He wasn't sure. He never used one. But it looked like so... what should he do of it?
