Angie sighed. Yes, tomorrow, she'd have to return to school. To this hell she had to deal with everyday. She was glad Lucy helped her today. But yes, she had to go forward. Move on. Not look behind.
And she had to ignore stupid jokes, like weird people sending her weird voice recorders in the middle of the night. But what if...
Angie was about to throw the dictaphone, so no one would ever recover it to find out what she recorded. So she could at least give it a chance. With nothing to lose, Angie recorded:
"A day like this won't happen to me again. This bullying won't last. One of these day, I'll be out of high school, and I'll be a beautiful woman with a life full of pleasures, not of bullies."
She was quite sure it was a scam, but it was wishful thinking. She wanted a happy life. That was all. But as she thought about the word "woman", she looked down at her flat chest. The one everyone made fun of today at school. She added, making sure it was still recording, just in case:
"And my breasts will eventually grow... so people won't call me "flattie" ever again."
Angie felt ridiculous and pressed stop before she threw the dictaphone into the bin and covered it with the brown package it came with.
She didn't know it, but she just altered her future... in a really big way.
