Sonic sat on the couch for a long time. He could feel exhaustion trying to pull him away, but his fear was so intense he couldn't rest. He had to know if Tails was alright. Finally, he felt movement. Remembering Tails's earlier reaction, Sonic held Tails against his middle and lay down on his back, still watching his shrunken sibling with worried eyes. "Please, be okay, Tails. I'm sorry I did this to you. Just please don't be mad. And please be okay." Sonic thought, his stomach aching as the guilt churned it wildly.
Tails slowly awoke. His eyes opened but he couldn't figure out what was going on. He could feel the ground shift beneath him and it felt warm…and sort of soft. He couldn't figure out what it was. There was something holding him in place. "Where am I? Am I still on Mobius? Is this even real?" Tails wondered. Then, a slight bit of light shone in, allowing him to see out and most of what was surrounding him. The thing he was stuck lying down on was peach-colored and seemed to expand and contract. The thing holding him down was white. Everything else seemed to be blue. "What is that? Is that a hand? I think so. It's wearing some sort of material. But…" Then it all sank in.
