Tails looked up and down and tried urgently to escape, only for a loud, male laugh to greet his small ears. He continued trying to escape. Suddenly, he was lifted up off the ground he wished he had stayed on. Next thing he knew, there was the enormous face of the monster that had done this to him. "I'm so dead." Tails thought in panic.
Sonic's eyes filled with a miserable sorrow. Tails saw something like water fill the giant, green eyes. Then, his view of said eyes was gone. He was set on a table, forced to watch as his older brother curled up on the couch and began crying. Tails could only see Sonic's back side, but the entire figure shuddered and he could hear Sonic's irregular breathing pattern. "He's scared of me. I didn't mean for anything like this to happen. It's all my fault." Sonic's thoughts echoed in his ears.
"Sonic?" Tails asked, but Sonic didn't answer. "Sonic, are you alright?!" Tails asked. Sonic still didn't respond. Tails froze, now putting his memories of before he had collapsed and now together. "He's crying because he shrank me. He must have just gotten too excited about it, and not realized what he had done. But now how do I get him to feel better? I guess I should just try to calm him down first. The rest can be handled later." Now Sonic was wheezing. "Uh-oh. That's not good. I gotta get over there now!" Tails thought as he jumped up and flew over to his sobbing, older brother.
