Chapter #5

Lily, the Goth Cat

    by: Shemp Author IconMail Icon
It was Lily! The resident goth girl amongst the anthros. With her large black leather boots, she barely felt you bump into her. The catgirl was casually sifting through a book about vampire lore. Lily must've sensed you, as she gave a half-hearted "excuse me." without looking up from her book. Closing it, and returning the book to it's shelf, she looked down at you.

"Oh... hi... Alan." she said, cracking a slight smile as her studded tail flicked.

"Uhhh... hi Lily. Haven't seen you around much. How're things?" you asked, nervous. You always had a thing for goth girls, and now the sexy queen of them was standing over you. You hoped she couldn't notice you blushing.

"Ehhh... you know... doing well. You??" she asked. This was the most either of you had ever said to each other. You tell her you're doing well also, and if she had any good book suggestions? This sudden interest in her seemed to amuse Lily.

"Eh... there's the Dark Hunter chronicles... the Esoteric Gospel Rites... stuff like that." none of those were really hitting ya. Without a word the giant shecat leaned down and picked you up gently, bringing you closer to her eyes.

"Is that a David Morsoe book?? The kind of mystery story that old housewives read??" she asked, grinning. Nervously you explain why you were there, getting things for your folks. Her grin turned into a smile. "That's really sweet of you Alan." she said as she placed you on her shoulder.

"I'll help you get through the line." she offered. You were, quite frankly, speechless. You and Lily never so much as did anything more than share a brief moments of eye contact. Nervously, you thanked her and held onto the black hoodie she wore.

A few minutes later, and the two of you were outside the bookstore. "So... Lily... got anything planned for today?" you hazarded to ask. Now it was her turn to look shocked. "Uhh... not much.... really. Was just going to go....."
