Your mother picks your head up. "Let's just say I put it in storage," she says.

"But how?"

"Did I mention that I'm a witch?"

"No."

"That costume in my closet consisting of a hat, wand, and book of spells wasn't a dead giveaway?"

"I assumed that you just wear that every Halloween."

"Well, yes, dear. But I am a real witch."

"Wait a minute. Did Dad really run out on us?"

"Run, hop, fly. Important lesson, Jack: do not cheat."

"Well, how can I now, considering that I don't have a..."

"Don't worry," your mom says.
