You wake up slowly, very tired. You sit up and rub your eyes. You roll off the edge of your bed and plant your feet on the ground. You feel a slight irritation under the arch of your foot, but you ignore it. Edging a couple of paces to the side, you look down at the persistent irritation and are startled to see what looks like a tiny man on the floor.
