The constant need for companionship is one of many things that drive us forwards as humans; be that in the form of casual friendships, sincerely loving relationships or simply the connection built-up between an owner & there loving pets, with the ladder being exactly what you sought-out. You were browsing around at this general pets & pet supplies store for the right companion to make your own, but couldn't seem to find a spark of any between the cuddly critters on display. Cats & dogs were of course the obvious choice, which made you adverse to picking one up as you wanted something truly unique to yourself, aviens could definitely be to much of a hassle to train, but you didn't want to leave there energetic spirit to die in some dingy, forgotten cage either, that would just be cruel & the insect options were a little to much for you with you being a bit entomophobia, especially when the idea of them getting out & scurrying about unchecked crossed your mind! With your perusing around seemingly a dud so far, you'd start headin' for the door before the proper realization hit you, maybe something like a snake would be your style!
Having the perfect idea for a pet on mind, you'd go up to one of the employees at the shop & ask them about any possible selection of snake currently for sale. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry sir/ma'am, but I'm afraid we've stopped carrying reptilian species for about .. six months now," the employee says, putting an undoubtedly disappointed look on your face as you consider leaving the store to try-out another to see if they might have any "noodles" for sale. "Wait a second... I think we're carrying something you'd like a lot! If you like 'em, then you'd both be in luck, 'cause the little guy ... was gonna get sent off to the pound pretty soon due to lack of customer interest!" the employee does his best at his job of coming up with deceptive fibs to convince buyers they're doing something good for the world with there purchase, which of course, catches your attention & keeps you long enough to see whatever he's on about. "The critters in the back, so just give me a second to wrangle them out for ya to see real quick, be right back with you sir/ma'am!" they inform you before disappearing into the employee area of the store for what must have been at least ten minutes! He better not be pullin' your let or nothin'...
Eventually, admist your agitating wait to see what the employee was talking about, you'd finally see them stumble over with quite the thing squirming away in a massive carry-out traveling animal carrier that still didn't seem big enough for the beast within. "This critter is quite unique as you can already tell with this small glimpse you've gotten of 'em! Supposedly, it's an exstremly rare species of ... "Colossal Ferrets," or so I'm told..." you could obviously tell that the employee at the pet store wasn't exactly sure what he really had caged up in that tote, but that didn't matter much to you, 'cause you were already in love with the gobby snake look-a-like! They had a big, puffy set of fur adorning them that just looked so soft to stroke away at while giving them pets, there ridiculously lanky body did wonders for scratchin' away at that snakish-itch of yours & on there cutesy face was this natural curve 'round there snoot that just gave them a constent look as if they were constantly shining you a goffy smile! Couldn't have been a quicker decision on a purchase then that, you instantly had plenty of money down to take the critter home & make him your favorite pet!
It's been three or so weeks since you adopted the squirt into your household & you haven't a reason to regret it! Yet... You never really bothered entailing about a "Colossal Ferret's" proper diet from that oblivious staff member at the shop as you just assumed they were herbivores. Oh how you couldn't be any more misinformed. As the Ferret went longer & longer without their proper diet, they'd start getting feistier with you, which you'd only assume to be them in a "playful mood" as they got more used to you & your abode. With no proper food coming their way, your lil' guy would take it into his own hands to get a good meal as he waited for the perfect chance to strike his Prey... You~...
