"What are you doing?" Foxglove asks worriedly as you pick up the bottle of wine and pull a small bit into your glass of Silver Serpent, which belches out a thick purplish-red cloud of steam. "Spicing this baby up a bit." you reply with a grin on your face. "How often am I gonna be able to enjoy a bottle of Silver Serpent and wine at the same time?"
Foxglove puts a hand on her face and lets out a sigh. "Just don't poison yourself, I don't have the coin to get you treated by a cleric." she replies as she takes a small sip of her own drink. You just give her a fresh smile as you down the entire glass in one big gulp, barely reacting to the sensation of burning acid being poured down your throat.
"Are you okay?" Foxglove asks nervously as your eyes begin to water. "I'm completely fine." you reply as you take the bottle of wine and down half of it to get the taste of burning off of your tongue. Foxglove just stares in shock as your eyes turn a dark purplish red and you let out a loud burp.
The whole world is spinning and you open your mouth to say something, but no words or even sounds come out. You pick up the wine bottle one last time without even realizing it and down the the rest of the liquid inside. The last thing you see before collapsing is a look of genuine fear on your friend's face.
You open your eyes to a hellish ruin of Ravnica wreathed in flames and darkness. All of the buildings are collapsed and eerie lights flicker among the shadows. "What is going on?" you ask aloud, having finally found your voice. No answer comes but a faint whisper that echoes over the rubble in front of you.
"Stop the darkness from coming. Stop the..."
