This choice: Change her to someone else • Go Back...Chapter #5Switcheroo. by: Gimlet Heh, this is fun. Who the heck wrote this thing? You shake your head, glancing once more at Jen. She couldn't be in on this, could she? I mean, sometimes she's playful, but... this would take a LOT of work, and she definitely doesn't know programming. But she is in the program somehow, so she has to be involved, right?
You look at the pic on the screen again and smile. She's cute, and though she is 'just' a friend she's a close one, and you've occasionally thought about being more but... it felt odd somehow. You've known her too long and she's never shown any interest in you in that way. Looking down on her with her so focused on her book out there is... odd. Turning back to the rather vivid picture of her on screen (how did she get this all so well made?) you almost decide to 'change' her physically. She did always think her nose was off, but...
This is silly, why did she do this? Or why is she involved in this if someone else did this? Looking at the bottom icon 'identity' you idly click on it and a bunch of secondary options pop up. You almost randomly click on 'exchange' and a there is an icon for some kind of 'finder,' a photo identify system with text image upload from a phone being an option, and the last a simple text entry. Who wrote this thing? With a chuckle you click the text entry and type in 'Clarissa Hargreaves,' the name of the Math's teacher at school. Chuckling you remember her in class and turn to... Clarissa?
Blinking you see your Math teacher there sitting at the bench in exactly the same position, reading a different book. Uh... what?
Slowly you look back to the screen and, cautiously, click an undo button on the screen, but are careful to look out of the window before actually clicking the mouse.
There is literally no difference, no glow, no sparkles. One moment it's Miss Hargreaves sitting there, the next moment it's Jen again, book changing with her. You could do... what? Glancing at the options you have just switched the two people somehow. Your brain seems to twitch on you at the incredible thought. However, there are other changing options. Just changing Jen into a copy of someone else as if she were a twin of sorts (but not related), making her look like someone else but keep her mind. And the default option seems that no-one, including who is changed, notices the change. Though there is a box to untick to make them aware of it... as you apparently automatically are as a user of the program.
And this is just the sub option of 'swapping people.' There are SO many other options!
Sitting back in shock you stare at the screen.
This is... insane! indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
