The computer dropped down an upgrade chip from a slot on the terminal. Samus took the chip and examined it. She wondered what it had to do with spiders not exactly knowing what a spider-taur was. She also saw that it was only usable with the zero suit.
She exited out of her power suit and held the chip and then inserted it into her chip slot on her thigh.
Almost immediately she felt changes.
"Ugh, what the..."?
She fell to her hands and knees as she was beginning to transform. Her face felt like it was being stretched. over her eyes 4 slits opened and in them another 2 pairs of eyes with fully blue sclera were created. Her original pair had become fully blue as well. Her teeth had become sharp with vicious looking fangs.
The next changes came to her zero suit. The top half had receded and rode up her midriff exposing it, making her zero suit a 2 piece with a long sleeved cut top covering only her breasts which had also gotten slightly bigger. the gloves of her zero suit had become fingerless gloves exposing her fingers. Her fingers transformed and became black sharp claws.
The biggest change came with her legs and feet. She felt her zero suit leg sleeves fuse together, putting her legs together in one sleeve that made her feel like she was in a bag to hop around in. Instantly her legs felt strange. They felt like they were sticky and indeed did stick together. Samus soon felt like she had only one leg as the 2 legs and her butt fused. She felt the new limb expand and grow into one giant swelling organ. It grew more and more out from behind her until a huge spider's abdomen was sticking out behind her as the zero suit expanded with it, containing it. Feeling as if the worst was over she panted and breathed as she tried to look behind her. Her vision was greatly expanded on with her new 6 eyes, seeing the . She was however on the floor with no legs and a giant abdomen behind her. How was this an upgrade Suddenly she felt a tearing pain go through her.
"Aaaaggh" she said as right before her eyes at the waist of her Zero suit, the cutoff point between her human torso and spider abdomen, 2 large spiky black hairy legs tore from the front waist of her suit and sprouted outwards to grow long and proud into giant spider legs. They positioned themselves into a standing pose as their claws hit the floor. She again felt pain as 2- 4- 6 more legs tore from her waist. each pair was bigger than the last, except the last pair which was smaller.
The pain subsiding, Samus breathed in and out until she felt a strange feeling, not pain but itchiness and irritation coming from her front just below her belly button. "Oh come on more" she complained. She itched her front before it felt like something else was beginning to sprout. Having the feeling of needing to push it out she suddenly with a loud "pop" spawned 2 mandible like limbs out of her front waist. Much smaller than the legs she sprouted, they looked more like a spider's mouth
Waiting a bit, it seemed like there were no more changes. She took a breather finally being able to relax and take in this transformation.
"I'm a...spider-taur. So this is what it is"? She asked herself. She looked down at herself. Her upper half was still human with her stomach exposed but below that was completely different. At her waist she had a spider's mandibles that moved on their own. She touched them. They felt hairy but it also felt like a part of her was being touched. Yeah, they were definitely part of her. Looking at her hands, they were sharp black claws. She felt one of them and they felt hard like a shell with a sharp tip on all her fingers.
Turning behind her and her sides she saw her giant, proud spider legs. The shorter ones stood in front of her posed for movement, both pairs, fur and all. On her side was one gigantic pair of black furry legs. She looked at them, feeling them and their fuzziness. They felt soft but strong and they were hers as she could feel like she was being felt when touching them. Looking down at their black tips they were sharp like knives. Behind that pair was a smaller pair of legs the size of the second pair, presumably for balance.
Turning all the way she saw her giant abdomen, the blue zero suit covering it whole. She could only imagine the vast amount of black fur it had. She couldn't help however be embarrassed at how large her behind was, even for a spider.
"Ugh, of course this had to give me a big butt" she said. Overall while it was strange she didn't really dislike this upgrade.
Trying to focus on moving her legs she felt new senses in her head. She focused on them and tried to move her front leg. She felt a connection and her right spider leg lifted itself up. She focused and it went back down. She did the same with her other legs. It was surprisingly easy. She tried moving forward. "Woah" she said a bit off balance at first. Her 8 legs moved gracefully across the floor as she moved, feeling as if she was carried by a chariot that was part of her body. A sense of pride overcame her seeing her 8 magnificent legs move and carry her.
"I quite like this" Samus said, tapping her spider feet on the floor.
"Computer, what more information do you have on this upgrade" Samus asked the computer.
"The spidertaur upgrade gives the user the torso of a human and lower body of a spider. The user hosts a large capacity for powerful venom through their sharp teeth. They may also create webbing from their hands and from their mouth" the A.I. said.
"Venom and webs eh" Samus mused over what she could do.
"Additional information available" the computer said. "This upgrade has the DNA of a spidertaur queen. notable features include larger than normal abdomen and more powerful webs and venom. Extra fertility and egg laying probability included as well".
"..Well that explains a lot" Samus said looking at her large caboose. It also may explained why she felt a sense of regality in her walk.
