Retaliation

Celestia is surprised to see you return, and an angry look forms on her face. You don't like where this is going, so you slowly walk towards her, ready to take any yelling or scolding she was prepared to dish out. To your surprise, though, she doesn't say a word. Instead, she slowly raises her arm, as if she were reaching out to you.

"Celestia, I just wanted to say-"

Before you get another word in, Celestia fires a magical blast that pushes you back like a powerful telekinetic force, slamming you into the door. You grunt in pain as you slide to the floor, but you're glad you had closed the door behind you. If it was open, you would've been knocked right out into the hallway, and Celestia would have the chance to lock you out of the room. You slowly get back on your feet and continue to walk towards Celestia. The princess fires another blast, knocking you off your feet again. You get back up and keep walking.

"Celestia please, just-"

You're interrupted again by yet another blast. Fortunately, you had anticipated this and braced for the impact, so you were able to stay on your feet. You keep walking, and you are able to dodge the next blast Celestia fires. Luckily, she had exhausted all the power she had into that last blast, and she needed to recharge. By the time she raises her arm to fire another round, you were right in front of her, at point blank range.

The look of anger in Celestia's eyes scares you, and the tears streaming down from them sadden you. The mixture of fear, sorrow, and remorse brings a tear to your eye as you wait for her to fire. Your aunt looks at you, her magically charged hand inches away from your chest. She can knock you out right now, but then she realizes something. She'd be bringing harm to her dearest nephew. She swore to your parents that she'd protect you, and here she is threatening to knock you unconscious. She can't bring herself to do it, not only because she's be going against her promise, but because she'd be hurting the boy that was like the son she never had.

Celestia slowly lowers her arm, the angry look on her face disappearing. You take this opportunity you hug your dear aunt tightly, as if you couldn't let go.

"Celeste, I'm really sorry for what I said earlier," you say. "I was stupid to let my anger get the better of me. I'm glad that you look out for me and do everything you can to make me happy. I don't care if I'm really related to you or not. To me, you are my real aunt."

You feel tears drip onto your shoulders. "Do you really mean that?" you hear Celestia ask.

"Every word," you say.

The princess sniffles "I'm sorry too, [your name]. I should've been aware of your feelings," she says. "I didn't mean to be so overprotective all these years. I'll try to give you your space."

"Thanks, Auntie," you say.

Unbeknownst to the two of you, Chrysalis was watching everything, a small smile forming on her face. That strange feeling suddenly returned. There was a warmth in her chest that she couldn't explain, and it made her feel good. The Queen of the Changelings walks back to her room, embracing this new feeling she was having.

The next morning, you wake up and see that Celestia was gone. Then again, she has to get up early to raise the sun, so that made sense. You walk into the hallway and you're approached by...

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. Celestia

2. Chrysalis

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
