Azula ran frantically into the thick forest after saying "Same as always, Zulu. Even when you're strong... you're weak." As she ran, she kept her eyes to the ground, trying to hide her sliver of tears. Zuko was wrong. They all were wrong, wrong to trust that she-demon.
So wild were her feelings and thoughts, that she wasn't paying attention to anything else. As a result, she eventually tripped on a tree root in the Forgotten Forest.
As she fell, she tried to firebend her way up. Sadly, she was still lost in thought and couldn't give a powerful firebolt. She fell face flat on a now charred ground.
Normally, she would stand up and help her determined image. However, that didn't happen tonight; she felt defeated. She only laid there, thinking to herself "you've gotten what you want. you broke me, now end me." Time went by, about ten minutes, and Azula just closed her eyes and thought. "I see, I don't deserve a fast death."
The air was warm like blankets and against Azula's will, she was quickly asleep. Her movements completely changed while alseep. Instead of being stiff and motionless, she turned on her back and ever so often moved her legs and arms. Her dreams were pulling up memories upon memories. Some memories showed how nice her mother was, others showed how mean she was. It was as if Azula's dream conscious was at war with itself.
After a couple hours went by, wolf spirit of the Mother of Faces appeared. The wolf spirit looked at Azula with curosity. So, the spirit gently levitated Azula on its back and transported it and her to the spirit world. The spirit brought her to its master.
The Mother of Faces looked down at the sleeping Azula and asked "Is this the human who was disrupting my waters? The same human who was daughter to the other human?
The wolf spirit nodded a 'yes.'
His master responded with intrigue. "This season I have done much. I gave intel, and returned the faces of two humans. Though, you brought her to me for a reason I suppose. There is nothing I will do. What needs to be done is my daughters responsibility. Fetch my daughter."
The wolf spirit nodded and within a half hour returned with another spirit. This spirit looked like an enormous flower, a red rose to be exact.
The Mother of Faces spoke "Thank you for coming daughter. My wolf spirit sent this human to me." she pointed to Azula. "Sadly, I don't think there is anything I can do. Can you?"
The Rose spirit spoke "Ah, perhaps her current identity needs some reworking. Well, I, Spirit of Youth, can do something." The spirit then gently touched Azula's forehead. "This soul seems very damaged, her current dreams are a mix of good and bad energy. It also seems to center around her mother. There is one thing I can do to ensure good energy comes about. Return her to the age of one."
The Face spirit asked "Will I need to change her mind?"
"No, there is no need. Her mind will soon follow her body." There was no response and the Youth spirit said "Very well then."
The spirit then formed a plant where Azula was sleeping. The plant soon sprout a stalk and then engulfed Azula in a flower bud. A bright silouhette of Azula soon formed, and then it shrunk. Within in minute, the bud opened showing a regressed Azula. Azula's hair remained similar, however everything else changed. Now she wore only a tiny red shirt and fluffy white diaper. Azula yawned in a high pitched voice and started sucking her thumb.
The youth spirit gleefully smiled "Awwww, isn't youth gorgorgous. This old trick worked, she's only thinking of good memories now."
