Even though he was being covered in goo, he tried to calm the Green Spineback. "It's okay girl, she's not landing...." His eyes went up to the sky just to confirm.
All that was visible were a few clouds. Next he tried to wipe the gunk away, but with the dragon still vomiting up copious amounts of whatever it was he felt like he was bailing out a boat with a teaspoon.
He took some comfort in the fact that Meatlug didn't seem worried and wasn't rushing to defend his rider. He merely crunched away on some quartz he had dug up. However, as the moments passed Fishlegs noticed a tingling in his fingers and legs. Holding his hands up in front of his face, they dripped excess goo, he felt they were losing sensitivity. Cautiously he touched his chest to confirm, and while he felt it, there wasn't any sensation from his fingers themselves.
He tried fleeing, but the white gunk was sticky and only let him writhe around. Next he felt his legs collapse as all sensation vanished from them entirely. As he lay in the long grass, his head became heavy as his neck struggled to support the weight.
The dragon was still letting loose the horrible stuff as it advanced. Fishlegs thoughts turned to the creatures name as it finally closed it's enormous mouth. He was covered from his throat down to his toes. More a cocooner than a Spineback, he thought as he lost consciousness.
