It isn't long before There's banging on the door and a German Shepherd comes in. He's wearing a police uniform and has a less than friendly look on his face. As he walks in He's accompanied by a black cat woman in a business suit and skirt. She has black hair that's done up in a bun. She looks at you with pity while the officer looks as though he might just arrest you.
"You've dug quite the hole for yourself human. Resisting arrest, evading police pursuit, tresspassing... and all in one night. I'm afraid I'm going to have to place you under arrest, and this time, we won't take any chances with you," He says as he takes out a pair of handcuffs and reaches for your hand.
Before he can make contact however, Cindy and the cat anthro rush in front of him, effectively blocking his access to you.
"What do you think you're doing?" Cindy demanded.
"What's it look like I'm doing?" The officer snapped, "I'm making an arrest! Maybe I'll make two if you don't get outta my way!"
"This patient is in no condition to be moved, and arresting him is certainly out of the question!"
"She's right, the laws are clear on the matter of arresting hospitalized suspects. Even if they weren't though, all of the afore mentioned charges with the exception of evading police pursuit were dropped. So outside of a twenty four hour police detainment you have no grounds to hold him against his will."
The officer turned and growled at the feline, "I'm here acting under direct orders from the mayor.... You do realize that, right?"
The cat returned a calm and nearly emotionless gaze, "I hadn't realized that. However, now that I am aware of that fact, it changes absolutely nothing. The law supersedes the mayor and her orders... You... do realize that, right?" Though she didn't show it, all who were present in the room, including you, detected a very satisfied smirk in the tone of her voice.
