Kat Finds Herself Entranced

Kat's initial disgust at how nerdy the game was had slowly turned into genuine enjoyment. Kat grinned as she sliced through a horde of hobgoblins and cast a fire spell at the bandits in the distance. Her character looked a bit like her, tall and thin and beautiful. Well, if I can't move around in real life, at least I can do it in this game, she thought to herself.

"Come on babe, you were right, this is boring. Let's find something else to do," Sean said, finding himself bored with watching Kat play.

"No, I think I'm gonna keep playing," Kat said without looking away. She hadn't played a video game since she was little, but found herself enchanted by this one. "But I'm hungry, can you get me a snack or something?"

Sean left, then returned with a bag of Cheetos. Though Kat would normally rather die than touch that sort of food, in her distraction she hardly noticed she was eating them.

Eventually Kat noticed it was evening. She paused the game and said, "Oh... Maybe I should be heading home,"

Sean sat on the couch texting, clearly bored out of his mind. "Yeah, I'll give you a ride back."

"Oh, and Sean. Can I... borrow your Xbox?"

Sean looked at the game for a moment. "Ok, but don't get to attached to this stuff. You don't want to end up like my brother, a fat nerd who plays video games all day,"

Kat giggled. "Come on, look who you're talking to! I just need something to pass the time while I have this stupid cast,"
