What trouble can a human get into while working at a newspaper for giant monsters?

This choice: Warden Destiny Appears to Let you Both in  •  Go Back...
Chapter #6

Warden Destiny

    by: Unknown
All four of the guards close in and you could hear Cree laughing malicious as you sit on Tara's shoulder. Clover lets out a hiss as Icy smiles evilly. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this," says Icy. "Let's take off her undies and see if she's hiding something up her..." "Dibs on the human." Says Clover. Cree growls at Clover. "Step off hose nose, my wife has dibs on that human." "You wanna try me furball?" Simone just lets out a monkey like shriek. Tara is sweating and it looks like those brutes are going to strip Tara when they hear stomping.

"Knock it off you four! She's a reporter, not an accomplice." The guards step to the sides in utter fear as the warden stomps forward. You look up and see a bright blue skinned gargoyle with long pink hair and her wings wrapped around her shoulders like a cape. She was surprisingly hourglass figured considering Fate's body. This must've been Warden Destiny. "You must be hear about Delilah," she says in a casual voice. "Sorry about them. Those four are the most bloodthirsty guards I have. Sometimes I wonder why I keep such psychos employed."

Tara follows Destiny in and you climb out from behind Tara's hair to get a good look at Destiny and Destiny finally notices you. "You must be Tim. My Fate has told me a lot about you. How exactly does one manage to set a water cooler on fire." Obviously Fate warned her mom about your incompetence. "Uh," you say nervously. "I still haven't figured that out myself. Say, you know something Warden, you look a lot like..." "Demona," says Destiny in an annoyed tone. "I know. Don't remind me, they've been making that connection since the 90s. If I get compared to a cartoon character one more time, I'm gonna blow a gasket."

Yeesh, no wonder Fate wasn't any fun to work with. "Like mother like daughter" you think to yourself. "Right this way." You look to a part of the prison that's not lit up. "Hey Warden," you say. "You forgot to turn on the lights in that area." Destiny turns to you and gives a stern look. "That's the Dark Side. We keep the most vicious, most vile, most irredeemable wastes of monster flesh in there where they'll never see the outside again. If you wind up in there with one of those beasts, don't bother calling for help. You won't get the chance. No human has gotten out of Dark Side alive." You begin to shake. "Oh really?" asks Tara with a smirk. You begin to gulp as Destiny leads you to the cell of Delilah Dundee.
