Stage 2: Fanon vs Canon

Now we must choose how much of the original canon should be included. Below are two quantities of episodes to start us off.

1: Fifty-six episodes; excluding both parts of Canterlot Wedding, both parts of Crystal Empire, Magic Duel, Game Ponies Play, Magical Mystery Cure, Dragon Quest and Just for Sidekicks. (Series 4 hasn't been aired at the time of writing this and doesn't count, Equestria Girls is a film and so doesn't count as an episode either even though these two are also rejected).

2: Forty-two episodes; comprises of only the first series of MLP:FiM and the following episodes of series 2... Lesson Zero, Luna Eclipsed, Sisterhooves Social, The Cutie Pox, The Mysterious Mare-do-Well, Sweet and Elite, Family Appreciation Day, The Last Roundup, Read It and Weep, A Friend in Deed, MMMMystery on the Friendship Express, Babycakes, Ponyville Confidential and Return of Harmony. (If this doesn't add -up, Secret of my Excess may be included).
