It was a normal monday morning like any other at John Quincy Adams Middle School. Cory Matthews was busy as every trying to find new ways to teach his students including his daughter Riley life lessons through history.
He was sitting at his desk grading last weekends lesson, thinking about what life lessons he could teach his class this week and what events throughout history he could use to help make his intentions for them clear.
It was only six thirty in the morning and his students were just rolling out of bed, so he had plenty of time to work out the issues with his syllabus. What he didn't realize was that so enough he would have a load of even bigger problems on his plate to deal with.
Cory began to feel very tired, he told himself he'd head to the teachers lounge and make himself a fresh cup of coffee to help himself wake up. He tried to stand up but his body suddenly felt very heavy, soon after Cory closed his eyes and told himself all he needed was a few minutes of rest first then he'd work on getting that cup of Coffee.
Only fifteen or twenty minutes could have passed before Cory Matthews opened his eyes once again, though his classroom had changed dramatically over the past few minutes. Everything was still roughly the same and for the most part everything was still perfectly in its place. However one major aspect had changed, the size of his classroom. Everything from the size of his desk and chair to the towering chalkboard that stood behind it were now massive by comparison.
Hard as it was for him to believe Cory came to accept that he'd somehow been shrunk to only an inch tall in height, too small even to pick up an ordinary piece of chalk. "This is awful, how am I supposed to teach my class like this?" he asked himself aloud, as if e didn't have any bigger concerns to deal with.
Suddenly he noticed the chatter of his students outside his classroom. Perfect, surely one of his students would notice him when they they walked in. "There's one of them now." he told himself as the door opened and closed again, turning to see a rather familiar face towering over him as she walked over his desk.
Was it his own daughter Riley Matthews or her best friend Maya Hart?
