Honestly, you weren't sure if this was such a good idea. Heck, what if it was your mom trying to contact the business about you or something? You weren't sure what you could say to her about that. And yet, it could be an important call none the less...
Why were you freaking out about it though? This wasn't even your desk or anything. What could they have against you? If something bad happened, perhaps you could just run somewhere and wait for your mom to return.
So...with a little hesitation and fixing up the blazer a bit, you picked the phone up.
"Hello?" you asked casually, not sure what to say.
"Yes, hello," a friendly voice spoke on the phone. "I was hoping to speak to Mrs. Robinson in....human resources I believe.."
Obviously, you had no idea who that person was. Quickly, you searched for anything that could give you a hand. Thankfully though, you didn't have to look far. A little bit aways from the phone was a list that conveniently had numbers on it, apparently relating to certain divisions within the company. You hummed for a second before finding the human resources division, seeing the numbers to connect to them.
"Okay, I'll connect you over to the human resources department," you said, trying to sound professional at the same time.
"Thank you," the voice happily said before you pressed the correct numbers, making the line go silent.
Honestly as you put the phone down, you felt pretty good. You actually helped someone out, well you hoped you did at least. Maybe this wasn't so bad if you could get the hang of this, not like you intended to stay any longer than when your mom returned though. In any case though, with nothing else to do, you went back to looking through the papers. However, as you did, something...began to feel a little off.
"Hmm?" you hummed as you looked at your hands, before proceeding to feel your face a bit. "Huh...did my skin always feel this smooth? Must be my shower or something."
Yes, it was true that your skin was smoother. Though, you didn't notice how sudden it was and it certainly wasn't because of the shower. It was only the start of a much greater change, one that would make you completely different by the time all was said and done.
