11 year old Karen walked over to her toy box and took out her favorite stuffed toy. The bear had been hers since she was a toddler. Though normally she didn't sleep with a stuffed animals anymore today was a special occasion. She her cousin Kelly's Birthday and she was going over to her house for a sleepover. Karen and Kelly had more in common than just their names both starting with "K". Being first cousins, they were also the same age with Kelly being born three days after Kelly. From the very beginning they were inseparable. The Best of Friends. Kelly was a bit taller than Karen and a bit pudgier but her mother insisted that it was just baby fat.
Placing the bear next to her PJs ,a few smaller dolls, and a wrapped gift she zipped up her duffle bag.
Scott was rocked to and fro as the preteen picked up the duffle bag and walked from her bedroom to the waiting car. Thankful not to be jostled about for the moment as while the car drove to it's destination, he still had no idea where this preteen was taking him. Based on what he could see though he had a pretty good idea. He was regretting leaving his car.
Speaking of cars, the car he was currently in as an unwanted passenger rumbled rumbled to the stop. There was the sound of a door opening and a woman's voice saying "Have fun Dear." before Scott's prison was picked up and was moving again. There was a brief pause as a door bell was wrung and then there came a new voice. A Young excited voice.
It didn't exactly help his feeling of dread that was continuing to grow. More movement. More rocking about. From what he could hear Karen and this new Giant were making plans for tonight. Pizza followed by cake and presents . Later popcorn and a movie.
When the Duffel Bag came to a stop Scott looked up in time to see the Zipper open up and light filled his prison once more.
