"You just sit there while I prep a sandwich, 'kay?"
Miranda tipped her hand ninety-degrees, and that half-inch man fell from her palm to the counter-top. She was pretty sure he couldn't get away from her here, being so high above the floor, but still she'd make this quick, so she could get back to him as soon as possible.
Humming to herself, she pulled a couple of bread slices from the sliced loaf.

Scott rubbed absently at what he was sure was a new bruise as he watched the giantess make her meal. Escape would be difficult, and since she hadn't immediately killed him he wasn't sure he should even want to. No, he'd wait like she asked, and then see about getting her to help him on his way home.
She slammed two pieces of bread down on the counter, showering crumbs the size of Scott's head. That was enough food to last him months, if not years. Yet it would be a simple snack of a few bites for this mighty being...
What filling was she going to use? He hoped it was something nice, that he might be spared a little himself!
He craned his neck back to watch the girl scout pull a jar from her bag, unscrewing it with a simple twist of her powerful wrist. She upended the contents onto one of the bread slices, and Scott recoiled.
Insects crawled over the surface, some bigger than Scott himself, a collection of writhing limbs and mandibles. It was something from a horror movie, magnified hundreds of times!
Then the girl slammed the upper slice of bread down, her gentle hand mashing and pulping countless creatures even before she hefted them skyward, her mouth opening.
In slow motion almost, Scott watched a drop of saliva fall from her mouth before she bit down, relentlessly snatching bugs into a crushing prison of teeth.
So, if this giant was going to be eating insects, did he really want to hang around with her?
