"What about your other son, Rilian?" A large hooded man inquired. "You do realise that once he makes his way back to Tryzantium he's going to remove you from your throne."
Ivar began fuming at the mysterious man who interrupted his war council. "Guards! Get rid of this man at once!"
Ivar's guards did nothing to the man. They just stood there continuing business as usual. The hooded man chuckled at the outcome.
"Have you already forgotten what I sound like, Father?" the man asked.
The man took off his hood. Ivar gasped as the man revealed himself to be none other than Rilian himself.
"H...How are you alive? I thought you were dead!" Ivar said.
Ivar was in complete shock. A chill ran through Ivar's spine as Rilian and the nobles gathered for the council shot cold stares at him.
"No thanks to you. I was fortunate to escape Luna and make it to the Temple of Lost Season and attained godhood."
Rilian snapped his fingers. His hood was replaced with godly garments. Ivar noted that not only did Rilian get taller, but that he had put on a lot of muscle and was somewhat fatter too.
"As for Edward I will train him, but as of today you're no longer king. You did tell me after all that I would be crowned upon my return," Rilian said.
Ivar was about to protest, but he couldn't refute Rilian. He did tell Rilian that he would do so. If he broke his promise, especially since Rilian is now a god, he would be smited on the spot or worse.
"He's right," Ivar said. "Man or god his claims are true. We must prepare for a coronation."
Rilian grinned as the other nobles began talking among themselves. "My coronation will be held tomorrow. This council is dismissed."
Ivar sighed. Out of all things he was regretting making that promise to Rilian. Now seeing that his eldest son is a god all of his extramarital affairs would be made public. He was certain that Rilian would ruin his plans.
Before Ivar could leave the council Rilian placed a strong hand on his shoulder.
"Father, you do know that I'll have to banish you for your crimes against Tryzantium," Rilian said. "So I'll give you a choice. You can either face banishment or drink this."
A mysterious glowing potion appears in Rilian's hand. "Drink this and all will be forgiven as long as you swear not to partake in your wicked deeds. Do we have a deal?"
